Prison for Young Waterloo Man

A young Waterloo man will go to prison for injuring an innocent bystander in a shooting in October, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 19 year old Quatez Hill-Watson began shooting in an alley behind Falls Avenue around 2pm on October 3rd. One of the bullets he fired hit a vehicle across the street at the Metro Mart. The debris from the impact tore into the leg of a teenage girl inside. Hill-Watson pleaded guilty to Intimidation With a Weapon and Reckless Use of a Firearm Causing Injury on Monday. As part of a plea deal he was sentenced to up to 10 years in prison. That sentence will run concurrently with gun and drug charges from a search last January at his home that turned up marijuana, a stolen handgun, and an AR-15 pistol with a scratched off serial number.
