Godfather’s Pizza in Cedar Falls is closing, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Owner Michael “Mick” Timmerman announced that he will retire. He came to the restaurant as the manager in 1984 and has been there ever since. Timmerman, who is 62, says owning the restaurant is a 7-day-a-week job and now that he is at retirement age, he just wants to put his feet up and enjoy the rest of his life. Godfather’s will officially close at 10:00 p.m. on February 23rd. Timmerman has agreed to sell the property but says he is unsure of the plans of the future owners.
