A Waverly man was rescued after falling 60 feet down a ravine on his property in Fayette County. 81 year old Duane Foelske called 911 just after 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday to report he had stumbled and fell down the ravine and was unable to get up, however his phone disconnected before anymore information could be shared. The area is made up of densely wooded ravines so the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and others deployed a foot search as well as UTVs and a drone to search the area. Sheriff Marty Fisher eventually located Foelske southeast of the man’s cabin. Once he was stabilized, firemen and deputies carried Foelske out of the area before he was transported to Gunderson Palmer Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
