Waverly Leisure Services has announced the city park facility opening date. Weather permitting, all restroom facilities and drink stations will be open and usable the week of April 8. They are now accepting reservations for the park shelter houses. The Exchange Building and South Riverside Pavilion are now also available for rent. Fees are $40 per 4-hour period. Leisure Services is also reminding pet owners to clean up after their pets on all trails, sidewalks or walkways, vacant lots, common areas, and parks. Pets also need to be leashed and under control at all times. If anyone notices an issue of any kind at a park they are encouraged to submit a service request at waverlyia.com/parkservicerequest.
