The man who died after apparently tripping and falling into a fire while camping along the Cedar River has been identified. Investigators believe that 23 year old Daniel VanBrocklin, of Raymond, was kayaking along the river and stopped on a sand bar to camp for the night. An autopsy has been done. Results are expected within the next six to eight weeks. VanBrocklin was a graduate of Dunkerton High School.
