On May 18th, 2024 at approximately 1213 hours, Cedar Falls Public Safety Personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Hudson Road and Greenhill with the report of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, officers learned that a juvenile was riding a bicycle with his family and attempted to cross Greenhill Road from the southeast portion of the intersection. As the juvenile was crossing, a vehicle was traveling north on Hudson Road turned east onto Greenhill Road. In doing so, the vehicle and the bicycle collided. The bicyclist was taken to an area hospital by MercyOne paramedics.
After further investigation, the vehicle involved was located and the driver was identified. This is an ongoing investigation.
