Woman Sent to Prison for Sending Drugs to Prison

A Waterloo woman has been sentenced to prison time after sending drugs into prison, according to KCRG. 42 year old Brookelyn Lindquist pleaded guilty to one count of Distribution of a Controlled Substance. Lindquist sent multiple packages of fentanyl and heroin to an individual in prison. The individual, who was already in prison on a federal drug trafficking conviction, then used the substances and suffered an overdose. Lindquist was sentenced to 71 months in federal prison. Once she completes that she must serve a three year term of supervised release.
