A Maynard man was arrested by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office on Friday after being observed driving despite not being legally allowed to do so. The sheriff’s office was conducting an investigation when a deputy spotted 25 year old Joseph Kane behind the wheel of a vehicle. Kane was directed to pull over but fled instead. After a pursuit Kane was arrested and charged with Eluding, Operating While Intoxicated, Violation of a No-Contact Order, Driving While License Revoked, Interference With Official Acts, and Reckless Driving. Kane was taken to the Fayette County Jail before being released after posting a $400 bond.
