The Waverly Chamber of Commerce has shared an update on their Facebook page regarding signage during the bridge closure. They say they have encountered some challenges with the Department of Transportation as the DOT would not allow signage in the right of way clarifying that vehicles can still go down Bremer Avenue until the bridge.
Wednesday night signage created by Bremer Brewing Company was placed on Tiedt Nursery’s private property explaining that drivers can continue on Bremer Avenue to reach the east side of downtown or use the detour to get to the west side.
