A man who had apparently been on the run from law enforcement for more than four years was taken into custody in Sumner on Wednesday, according to KWWL. US Marshals, Sumner Police, Independence Police, Tripoli Police, and the Bremer County Sheriff’s Office worked together to track down 48 year old Cecil Johnson. He was wanted on a failure to appear for firearms charges in Buchanan County. Two other adults found in the same home as Johnson were also taken into custody, but any charges against them are unknown at this time.
