A Waverly cidery has brought home some silverware from the 2024 Great American Beer Festival Competition. Paha Cider Company won a silver medal for their Cedar Valley Blend in the Tannic Cider Category. Three other Iowa breweries also won medals. SingleSpeed Brewing out of Waterloo won a silver medal for their Lavender Haze in the Experimental India Pal Ale Category. PIVO Brewery in Calmar won a silver medal for their Decorah Nordic Guit in the Historical Beer Category. Big Grove Brewery in Iowa City won a gold medal for their Easy Eddy in the Juicy or Hazy Pale Ale Category.
