A Waterloo woman has been arrested after her children allegedly ate her THC gummies, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Paramedics were called to Irving Elementary on October 18th after a boy was found on the floor. He was taken to the hospital where he tested positive for THC. When investigators went to the boy’s home they found his three year old sister acting lethargic and semiconscious. She was taken to local hospital before being transferred to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She also tested positive for THC. Their mother, 31 year old Iaesha Stewart, was taken into custody and charged with two counts of Child Endangerment Causing Bodily Injury. While it is unknown how the children obtained the gummies, police say Stewart knew they had taken them and failed to get them medical attention.
