Local Election Results

Although still unofficial it appears that Donald Trump will become just the second non-consecutive two term President in American History, defeating Vice President Kamala Harris.

In two big public measure votes in Waverly, one passed comfortably and one failed comfortably. There will be a new pool, which passed with 70% of the vote. There will not be a new golf clubhouse, which garnered just 33% of the vote.

In other results Ashley Hinson has won reelection for US House District 2 with 57% of the vote.

Pat Grassley defeated Shawn Ellerbroek for State House District 54 with 60% of the vote.

Charley Thomson received 63% of the vote to retain the State House seat in District 58.

In the race for Bremer County Board of Supervisors in District 1, Bob Brunkhorst narrowly defeated Pam Egli with 51% of the vote.

Dan Pickett easily remains the Bremer County Sheriff with 85% of the vote.

EMS services will be funded in Butler County after receiving 62% of the vote.

Justin Brandt, Linda Laylin, and Chris Schwartz all make the Black Hawk County Board of Supervisors with Kamyar Enshayan falling just short.

The two public high schools in Waterloo will merge and be housed in a brand new building on the same campus as the Waterloo Career Center. That measure won with 60% of the vote. You can find full election results on your county website.
