Janesville is building a new space for their resurgent wrestling program, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. The Board of Education approved the hiring of Modern Design Architects to design the project for an estimated cost of $100,000. That price tag does not include the cost of mats. The new wrestling room is expected to be in an exterior building adjacent to the weight room and art area. Work is expected to be completed by the beginning of next school year. The school has its own program for the first time since 2002. Previously kids who wanted to wrestle did so with Waverly Shell Rock but increased interest led to the school bringing the program back. The program will have both, a boys and girls team, in fact the girls team has already had their first meet.
