A Waterloo man has been sentenced to prison for breaking several of his 2 month old son’s bones, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 25 year old Devin Toler Sr. was sentenced to up to five years in prison yesterday. He was convicted on a charge of Child Endangerment Causing Bodily Injury. Toler’s baby son was taken to the hospital in November of last year when the mother noticed blood coming from the infant’s mouth. Doctors found a broken leg, a broken arm, a broken toe, bleeding eyes, and scratches around the ear. Toler was determined to have been watching the baby while the mother was out running errands when the injuries occurred. He claimed the injuries happened when he changed diapers and swaddled the baby.
