A Waterloo woman has claimed a $100,000 prize on a scratch ticket, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Angela Farfan-Ruiz said when she called her mother to tell her the news she was so excited she began screaming and crying leading her mother to believe she had been in an accident of some sort. Farfan-Ruiz eventually calmed down enough to relay that she had won the top prize in the Lucky Numbers Game Book. This was the 12th top prize claimed in Iowa. Farfan-Ruiz bought the winning ticket at the Casey’s in Evansdale. She says she will use the money for home renovations and retiring debt.
