A 17 year old from Waverly has been arrested after allegedly stabbing a man in late November. The Waverly Police Department responded to a residence in northwest Waverly around 3:00 a.m. on November 26th on a report of an ongoing assault involving a knife. When they arrived they found that a man had allegedly been stabbed after a verbal altercation with the teenager, Benjamin Schneider. The victim was taken to the Waverly Health Center for treatment of his injuries. Schneider was taken to Allen Hospital and admitted for further care. Ed Thomas paperwork was submitted so that law enforcement would be notified when Schneider was released. That happened on Tuesday and Schneider was taken into custody. He has been charged with Willful Injury, Assault on a Peace Officer, and Interference With Official Acts. He is being held on a $20,000 bond.
