A group that has been suing universities across the country for offering scholarships to minorities has now set their sights on UNI. The Equal Protection Project has filed a federal civil rights complaint against UNI saying they promote and administer scholarships that discriminate on the basis of race and sex. The EPP says that there are 13 scholarships that violate Title 6 and Title 9 of the Federal Civil Act. Those scholarships are offered to females, students of a specific race, and students of a specific national origin. The group’s founder, William Jacobson, is a white man. He has been the source of controversies in the past for, among other things, describing Black Lives Matter as “anti-American, anti-capitalist activists, who want to destroy capitalism, in an act of revenge.”
