A Waterloo woman has been arrested for allegedly strangling a man, stealing his truck, and then assaulting him again, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 54 year old Tammy George is accused of showing up at the home of Darrell Kauten where the two got into an argument about a cat’s empty water dish. The argument allegedly became physical when George hit Kauten in the face and then strangled him until he passed out. When Kauten came to, he says his phone and truck were missing. At that point Kauten contacted police. The next day George picked Kauten up in the pickup and drove to the Hy-Vee parking lot on Ansborough Avenue. Once there George allegedly began punching Kauten and then wrapped a seatbelt around his neck and demanded he drop the charges. George, who was already on probation for stealing a trailer, was charged with second degree Robbery, Operating a Vehicle Without Owner’s Consent, first degree Harassment, and two counts of Assault Causing Bodily Injury.
