A Waterloo man was arrested on Friday after allegedly running from the cops, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Police attempted to pull over a vehicle driven by 29 year old Tim Nix Jr. at Ray’s Supermarket for not having license plate lights. Nix refused to pull over, however. He drove for about half a mile before allegedly getting out and running east along Lafayette Street. An officer was able to catch up with Nix and tackle him to the ground. The officer sustained cuts to his elbow during the tackle. Nix was charged with Eluding, Interference Causing Bodily Injury, Driving While Barred, and Driving While Suspended.
