The state fire marshal’s office is investigating a fire that destroyed a city building in Cedar Falls.
The fire broke out around 10:45 a.m. Sunday at a building on East Fifth Street near the company Viking Pump.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they found the building engulfed in flames.
The city uses the space to store police equipment.
The building was a total loss.
