An Independence man has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a child and possessing child pornography, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 32 year old Austin Thein was arrested last week and charged with second degree Sexual Abuse, Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, Grooming, Indecent Exposure and three counts of Indecent Contact with a Child. Police were alerted on January 31st that Thein allegedly had sexually explicit images and a video of a child on his cellphone. A search of that phone led to his charges.
