The second man accused of killing a Waterloo woman while drag racing in Iowa City has entered a guilty plea, according to KCRG. In May of 2023 Kesean Ford and Elijah Seals were racing one another side by side on a residential street when they struck a vehicle driven by 22 year old Jennifer Russell. Russell died in the crash. Ford has now pled guilty to a charge of Homicide by Vehicle Excessive Speed. He will be sentenced on May 19th. Seals entered an Alford Plea in October, not admitting guilt but acknowledging prosecutors have enough evidence to convict him. He was sentenced to three years of probation on a ten year suspended sentence.
