A Guatemalan man in the country illegally will be sentenced for sexually abusing an 11 year old girl in Waterloo in 2023, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 35 year old Marvin Ramos Bautista had sexual contact with the girl, who lived in the same home as he was staying in November of 2023. She immediately told family members what had happened. Ramos walked away from the house as family members took the girl to the hospital for an exam. A test of the girl’s underwear found Ramos’ DNA. He was found guilty in a bench trial in January of second degree Sexual Abuse. He faces up to 25 years in prison when he is sentenced in March. This is the third story in the last two weeks involving the sexual abuse of an 11 year old girl in Waterloo.
