The Waverly Police Department is asking drivers to have caution and to expect delays on Tuesday, March 18th. Goodwin House Moving, Inc. will be moving a building from the old Carey Elementary School in northern Waverly near the Waverly Area Veterans Post to St. Paul’s School on the east west side of the river on Tuesday, March 18th. Goodwin will be assisted by the Iowa DOT and Waverly PD for traffic control. The most direct route will be east 9th Ave NW, south on Adam’s Parkway/1st St NW and then west on 3rd Ave NW. Start time will be 9:00 a.m. and it is anticipated to take approximately 1 hour to complete the move. The move was planned for the week of Spring Break to alleviate morning commute issues with school drop off.
