A Waterloo man has been arrested for Insurance Fraud after allegedly being caught by a traffic camera, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 30 year old Tyler Rottinghaus filed an automobile damage claim in January of last year the month after purchasing the policy from Progressive. An investigation by the Iowa Insurance Fraud Bureau allegedly found a photo from a traffic camera from August of 2023 that showed Rottinghaus’ car with the same damage for which he filed the claim. He has been released pending trial.
