The Readlyn Police Department is alerting residents of an uptick in Department of Transportation and Department of Motor Vehicles related scams via text messages. The police say the scams include speeding tickets, tolls, and similar issues. They say to question everything and if you have doubts, call the police department or the Bremer County Sheriff’s non-emergency number. Several other law enforcement entities around the area have also reported similar scams.
