The Bremer County Fair continues Wednesday. Beginning at 8am the 4-H/FFA Swine Show will take place. At 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. there will be an otter adventure. At 2:00 p.m., 4;00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. the Tumbleweed Crossing Comedy Wild West Stunt Show will take place. There will be a mini donut eating contest at 3:30. The 4-H Fashion Show will be held at 5:30. The Open Beef Show will now be held at 6:00 p.m.. The Power Wheel Derby, Scramble Night, and Pie Auction will all take place at 7:00 p.m. and finally the Southland Band will wrap up the day at 9:00 p.m..
The City of Waverly Off-Road Vehicle ordinance has been lifted on 39th Street NE and SE during the Bremer County Fair. This is to allow county residents to attend the fair without needing to register their ORV with the City. The ordinance is still in effect for the remainder of the city, including on Cedar River Parkway, which has been a common violation.
