The Bremer County Sheriff’s Office says it got a report of a possible animal torture in the 100 block of Main Street in Plainfield over the weekend. The deer was found by a deputy with a rope tied around it’s neck. Its antlers had been removed and it appeared the animal had been dragged to that spot. The sheriff’s office says it doesn’t have any suspects, but is investigating and is also getting the DNR involved.
