Sisters Give Birth in Side-by-Side Rooms

A pair of sisters gave birth to babies just 13 hours apart at the MercyOne Waterloo Birth Center. Morgan Ackerson had a scheduled induction on August 13th at around 7:15 because of a higher-risk pregnancy. She gave birth to a daughter named Keira. Later that night, Ackerson’s sister, Taylor Weston, naturally went into labor and was admitted to the room next to her sister. Almost exactly 13 hours after Ackerson gave birth so did Weston, also to a girl, hers named Zoey. Both babies were delivered by certified nurse midwife, Marcia Corson. Both baby girls weighed an identical 8 pounds 5.2 ounces.
