Citizens in Waverly are excited as the final nine bridge beams for the Bremer Avenue Bridge will be installed starting at 8:00 Thursday morning.
You will notice the beams are bowed. DOT Field Services Coordinator Pete Hjelmstad explains why.
After the beams are set the contractor, PCI, will work on the southeast wing wall, then begin to work on the decking including tying the steel. If all goes well concrete will be poured in early October.
Hjelmstad was asked why the end date is still November 28th if the concrete could be poured in early October.
