Gun & Synthetic Marijuana Found

A Waterloo man has been arrested after a search of his home in August allegedly found a stolen gun and synthetic marijuana, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Officers with the Violent Crime Apprehension Team searched the apartment of 32 year old Javonta Herbert in August. During the search Herbert allegedly tried to jump out of a window and tossed a pink and silver gun out the same window. The gun had been reported stolen in an earlier burglary in Waterloo. Officers also allegedly found K2 synthetic marijuana in the home, a digital scale, and packaging material. Herbert has been charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm, fourth degree Theft, and Possession of K2 Synthetic Marijuana With Intent to Deliver. Herbert is barred from possessing firearms due to prior felony convictions of Burglary, Theft and Firearms.
