An 18 year old was struck by a vehicle and severely injured on Friday night in Cedar Falls. The 18 year old was apparently in the crosswalk at the intersection of Hudson Road and W. 27th Street just after 11:00 p.m. when they were struck by a northbound Nissan Altima. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital initially but was transferred to the University of Iowa Hospitals for treatment of serious injuries. Neither the name of the driver nor the pedestrian have been released. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
