Two 19 year old women have been arrested after allegedly breaking into a home in Elgin and assaulting those inside and stealing items from the home. Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the home at around 11:45 Monday night. Their investigation determined Gabrielle Becker of Cedar Falls and Emina Alagic of Waterloo had broken into the home and assaulted two people inside. A short time later, the suspects were pulled over in West Union. A search of the vehicle found items reported missing from the home. Becker has been charged with 1st degree Burglary, 2nd degree Robbery, 2nd degree Criminal Mischief, 3rd degree Theft, Domestic Assault Causing Injury, Assault Causing Injury, and Trespass With Injury. Alagic was charged with 1st degree Burglary, and Trespass With Injury. They were both taken to the Fayette County Jail.
