A Mason City man who threatened to shoot up a Charles City home now faces new charges, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 30 year old Evan Stalker has now been charged with Stalking. He has also been charged with three counts of Transmitting Threatening Communications in Interstate Commerce and Possession of Ammunition by a Prohibited Person. Stalker is accused of sending threatening text messages between April and July of 2024 to the victim. In those messages Stalker allegedly used the F word 58 times. The threats allegedly culminated in the victim’s house being shot at while five people were inside in July of 2024. No injuries were reported. Stalker is already awaiting sentencing for Making False Statements While Purchasing a Gun. While filling out an application to buy a gun he indicated he had never been committed to a mental institution, which was untrue.
