Results are in from Tuesday’s election. In the lone contested race in Waverly Luana Harman defeated Scott Wallace 62% to 37% to take the Ward 1 City Council seat. Kristin Happel will be the next mayor of Waverly, she ran unopposed.
In Denver Amber Heller and Ryan Wirtjes won School Director At Large positions in a three person race with Tyson Trunkhill.
In the Sumner-Fredericksburg School Director At Large race Janet Wendland defeated Jim Wright by 45 votes.
Jerald Heuer defeated Michael Grantham for Clarksville Mayor, 61% to 37%. Nick Treib, Jeremy Hoerman, and Wesley Voss were voted into Clarksville City Council At Large positions.
In Waterloo, their mayoral race is expected to go to a runoff after neither candidate, incumbent Quentin Hart and challenger Dave Boesen, received 50% of the vote. Hart got 49.7% of the vote. Boesen finished well behind with 40% of the vote but will likely have another shot in the runoff scheduled for December 2nd.
