Waterloo Police continue to investigate a shooting on Friday night that sent a man to the hospital, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Derrick Mace arrived at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center by private vehicle around 10:20pm. He had a gunshot wound to the leg but is expected to survive. Mace indicated he was shot on Lafayette Street but officers were unable to locate any evidence of a shooting. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact police.
