Shooting Investigation Continues

Waterloo Police continue to investigate a shooting that happened early Friday morning, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. An alleged victim told police that he was driving in the area of Independence Avenue and Irving Street around 12:20 a.m. Friday when someone began shooting at him. Neighbors told investigators that they heard five to 10 shots. 12 spent shell casings were actually found in the area. Bullets also struck a Nissan Rogue, causing a fuel leak. No injuries were reported. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
