All four Iowa locations of Marco’s Pizza abruptly closed their doors on January 5th, including one in Waterloo, according to KCRG. One franchisee operated all four locations and decided to “consolidate its portfolio to develop other geographic territories.” Marco’s Chief Development Officer Gerardo Flores says the corporate company is looking ot open more than 80 new locations across the country this year and would be willing to work with new franchisees in Iowa. Marco’s locations were often found tied to Family Video locations until Family Video went out of business in 2021.
