A Cedar Falls man has been arrested for his alleged involvement in several break-ins at the end of last year, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 19 year old Tipun Samuel was arrested on Thursday and charged with third degree Burglary, three counts of second degree Criminal Mischief and one count of fourth degree Criminal Mischief. Police accuse Samuel and two others of committing several crimes in December. On the 6th they allegedly broke into Placo Vape and Smoke Shop and took merchandise, on the 21st they damaged a coin dispenser at Clean Laundry, on the 23rd they damaged coin machines at Laundry Plus before unsuccessfully attempting to pry open ATMs at US Bank and Bank Iowa, both on Kimball Avenue. Samuel’s GMC Acadia was spotted on automated license plate readers leading to his arrest. He is already awaiting trial for allegedly damaging a vending machine outside Hometown Foods on December 31st.
