Man Arrested After Chase

An Evansdale man has been arrested after leading police on a 37 minute chase through Waterloo and ending in Washburn, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Waterloo Police say they originally pulled 24 year old Thomas Biemann over just after 11:30 Friday night for driving with no lights on. During the stop, police determined Biemann had a warrant out for his arrest for violating his parole in a separate theft case. Biemann allegedly sped away from the police and threw bags out of his car window. Those bags allegedly contained methamphetamine. Stop sticks were employed to bring the chase to a close in Washburn. Biemann faces several drug charges and traffic violations.
