A 21 year old male has been arrested after a woman was shot in an apartment in Cedar Falls Thursday evening, according to KWWL. Police were called to the Park @Nine23 Apartments behind the College Square Mall at around 7:30 p.m. on a report of a fight that led to a shooting. When they arrived on scene they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite lifesaving efforts, she died from her injuries. The male taken into custody lives in the same apartment as the victim but it is unclear what their relationship is and their names have not yet been released. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
