Pharmacy Hit with Multiple Violations

The Walgreens on Logan Avenue in Waterloo has been charged with multiple violations by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy, according to the Iowa Capital Dispatch. The store has been charged with Failure to Maintain Accountability For All Controlled Substances and Records, Failure to Ensure the Proper Inventory Counts for Schedule II Substances, and Failure to Ensure Accountability for Schedule III, Schedule IV, and Schedule V Controlled Substances. Schedule II substances are tightly regulated and have a high potential for abuse. The exact incidents that led to these charges have not been made public.
