Elderly Woman Hit by Mail Vehicle Leads to Arrest

An arrest has been made in the case of an elderly woman hit by a United States Postal Service vehicle in Cedar Falls in December, according to KWWL. 48 year old Boakai Herron, of Waterloo, has been charged with Failure to Yield to a Pedestrian’s Right of Way. Herron was at the wheel of a delivery vehicle on December 20th when he allegedly struck 73 year old Charlotte Wells, who was on foot in the 500 block of Main Street. Wells was taken to the hospital but died from her injuries. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
