Those that plan to drive their golf cart in Plainfield need to register before doing so. All previous permits expired on December 31st. To register, golf cart owners need to provide current proof of insurance to City Hall and pay a $30 renewal fee in order to receive a sticker for 2026. All golf carts need that sticker as well as an orange safety flag and adequate brakes and exhaust to be considered legal. Contact City Hall with any questions.
