Waverly Trees Forever is sponsoring a spring tree replacement program as part of its “Re-Tree Waverly” initiative. The program is designed to help restore the community’s tree canopy following storm damage and disease-related tree loss on private property. Planting trees provides many benefits, including energy savings, improved wildlife habitat, and enhanced property beauty.
The program is available to all Waverly Utilities customers. Due to limited funding, rebates are available for up to 30 trees, with a limit of two rebated trees per address.
Trees may be purchased at Tiedt Nursery or Wells Hollow. The program offers a 50% rebate, up to $100 per tree. For example, a $100 tree qualifies for a $50 rebate, a $150 tree for a $75 rebate, and a $250 tree for the maximum $100 rebate. Customers simply need to mention the rebate at the time of purchase to receive the discount instantly.
Please note that some tree species are not eligible for this program, and trees may not be planted in the public right-of-way.
The program runs from April 1 through June 15, 2026. Rebated purchases must be made by June 15; no exceptions will be granted after this date.
