The Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office handled around 900 more calls for service last year than they did in 2024, according to KWWL. More than 7,600 calls came in last year, up from about 6,700 the previous year. Despite that, there were about 100 fewer arrests made. Sheriff Nathan Neff called the year a “rebuilding year for the department.” He said he expects arrest numbers to increase this year as deputies get more experience.
