A barrel fire in Waterloo Monday, fueled by the wind, spread to a garage and damaged the neighbor’s property, according to KWWL. The homeowner started a fire in a barrel in the backyard of his home on Zuma Street. That fire quickly grew to an uncontrolable size thanks to the wind. It spread to the garage, which it burned to the ground. It also damaged the neighbor’s house and garage. The homeowner said the garage was filled with tools, equipment and wood as he was preparing to renevate his home. He says the money he had saved for the renovations will now be spent on repairing his neighbor’s property.
