Man Arrested for Setting Van on Fire

A Waterloo man has been arrested for allegedly setting another person’s van on fire last summer, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Firefighters were called to 902 Hammond Avenue shortly before 7:00 a.m. on July 13th after neighbors reported smoke coming from a van owned by Dustin Dinatalli. Inside the van firefighters found two plastic bottles containing liquid and capped with fuses on the front floorboard. Testing determined the liquid was gasoline. On the bottles authorities allegedly found the fingerprints of 35 year old Marty Cornelius. He has been charged with second degree Arson.
