ID Needed to Use Yard Waste Site

The City of Waterloo has announced that those unloading at the compost and yard waste site will now have to show ID to prove they live in Waterloo, according to KWWL. When the resident pulls in, they should have a valid driver’s license or ID ready to be checked by staff. Next, the staff will inspect the loads to ensure the materials meet the guidelines and are approved for disposal. Once approved the staff member will direct the resident to the correct unloading area. The City says the changes are designed to improve site operations, reduce contamination, maintain safety standards, and help preserve the facility for proper residential use. Residents are reminded to follow all posted signs and staff instructions. More information can be found on the city website.
